$10 for Designer Clothing.

Hello, hello, hello! I REALLY have not posted in a long time as I have been quite busy with school this past semester, and creating art. Let me tell you, it was rough. However, I got great marks, made some sick art, and am in good health! I am on winter break right now and I just thought hat maybe I should post stuff and give you the low down of what is new. What is new? Nothing. Just kidding, but honestly, nothing. Still love vintage, still love punk, still love cheap finds.

Anyways, today was awesome. I had the chance to relax, mail some stuff out from Petite Punk, and go thrift an clothes shopping! I really did not find too much except for an amazing sequin blue and black top which will go in my store soon, a Splendid sweatshirt for $12 and this:

A Jeremy Scott original piece from his Fall 2007 collection, " Happy Daze." It is a medium but I really could not pass up this amazing tunic/dress; I will make it work. The print on it is especially incredible because it is of men wearing 3-D glasses. To top it all off, it has pockets, something that I absolutely love on a dress. The best part of all is I scored this designer diamond for $10 ( originally priced at $400). No stains, no rips, no nothing; it might as well be new!

Since it is winter break, I will try to post more. Maybe even some photographs of my outfits!

Carolyn

Cheap cute designer boots in size 5? This must be heaven.

Thank you Payless for giving me a chance to wear cute shoes for one. I am tired of trying to find stylish shoes in the kid's section; it really pisses me off. Yes, I have found some rare finds at H&M kids, and Marshall's ( Stuart Weitzman kids?), but besides that, I have no luck. I can fit a size 5 occasionally but it seems that hat size is a dying breed and the only shoes I do find are incredibly expensive. Boots especially have been the hardest for me to find. Look, I don't want shoes with big tacky flowers and glittery hearts okay? As much as I love glittery hearts, not gaudy ones on my boots, thanks. Luckily, Payless has won my heart. Their designer lines have some of the cutest shoes and boots I have ever seen, and they come in my size!!!

I just bought this pair of boots and I just got them in the mail today. Let me tell you something: they made my heart skip a beat.

Silvia Tcherassi Ella Boots- $49.99

I am surprised these boots haven't gotten much love on blogs because they are made well, have a great shape and style, and are extremely affordable.

Addicted to Betsey and more...

It seems that everyday I see less and less people wearing and loving Betsey Johnson. Maybe it's just me but I think everyone is crazy. Not only are her pieces versatile, but they cater to every type of girl! Seriously. For those who hear Betsey Johnson and think, " oh her stuff is too weird and punky," think again. Look at her website! You can find the funkiest floral dresses and accessories that come in all different types of colors. You are bound to like something!
Even if you don't like her clothing, her history is mind blowing. Not only has Betsey fought breast cancer, but she maintains great ethics by having the majority of her clothing made here in the US, even while her business is rapidly expanding. Coming from nothing, Betsey has pushed her way of the fashion food chain, and made a big name for herself and her company. Anyways! Loehmann's now carries Betsey Johnson and I literally had a heart attack today. I wanted to buy everything. Here are some things that I did purchase for pennies!

$60.00

$30.00

They had this at the store and I really wanted it, so I gotta wait for my next paycheck!
$40.00
I also scored this cute Marc by Marc Jacobs scarf for $11!

Some Fashion's Night Out!

The rain was just horrible last night and it went on till around 8 or 9? Talk about bad timing. Nonetheless, Fashion's Night Out in Georgetown was a success at Annie Creamcheese! We had a great sale, a little contest, and more! I did not have the chance to visit elsewhere because after being at the store, I went straight home and to sleep because I was so exhausted!  I did have the opportunity to paint a painting of a mannequin in the window and that allowed me to meet some really awesome ladies!  Anyways, here is a photo of what I wore, there will be more pictures to come. Sorry my camera stinks! More pictures will come later.

Little Black Dress: Fall Edition

I wear a lot of black...okay more than half of my closet is full of black apparel and I have probably  over 10 black dresses in there, but that is not enough. A girl can never have too many little black dresses because no matter what style they are, they almost always come in handy and are great for almost any occasion.

Just so you know, Betsey Johnson is my favorite designer. Her collections are so diverse that any girl can sport at least one piece of her clothing; that's why I picked one of her dresses in my favorites list. Actually, if you look on her website right now, there is a whole section of black dresses, but I picked my favorite. It might seem plain at first glance, but on the side there is a sexy yet classy circular cut out  which is to die for, unlike  the racy cut outs you see at LVLX, Wetseal, or Lucaya. This dress could be a club dress, but it can be worn with a cute pair of  fall boots as well!

The next dress I chose was from Rag & Bone. My closet has few long sleeved, or short sleeved long sleeved  dresses because they never really ever fit me. Being petite, most sleeves are unbearably long. However, I think if I wore this dress, the sleeves would fall just right and could be worn as a long sleeve on a petite woman, and a mid length on a taller woman. Although this dress is plain, it can be dressed up with a mod choker, or just something that complements the neckline. No long necklaces!

I will never be able to afford this Stella McCartney dress but wow is it amazing. I first saw it posted on a girl's blog and I instantly fell in love. The mesh polka dotted sleeves and siding on thigh area? What more could I saw! Wearing this dress would sure make one stand out at a party and event.

And last but not least, I picked a more affordable dress from Forever 21. It's at a great price and it has a cute, sexy, and style that accentuates the curves. I don't know how I feel about the mesh, for I like the style of the Betsey Johnson dress in terms of showing some skin, but regardless, if you wear this dress with the right jewelry, it can become really funky and classy. I can see this dress being worn with chunky bangles and rings. I would wear a scarf tied in a bow around my head with this dress. What do you think?
